Despite battling a nasty bout of illness throughout the 200-lap event, the veteran driver dug deep to secure an impressive 4th place finish – his best result of the 2023 season so far. The 42-year-old Californian arrived in Texas feeling under the weather but refused to let sickness slow him down.

NASCAR fans have witnessed Kyle Larson’s meteoric rise to stardom over the past decade. At just 31 years old, the Elk Grove native has already etched his name in the sport’s history books with numerous victories across various racetracks while driving for multiple teams. Larson’s big break came in 2021 when he joined the legendary Hendrick Motorsports team. Despite being a consistent playoff contender with Chip Ganassi Racing, Larson had yet to capture the ultimate glory of a NASCAR Cup Series championship.
