The Oregon State women’s golf team is ready to make their mark at the Pac-12 Championship, set to tee off Sunday through Tuesday in Pullman, Washington. With a talented lineup and a wealth of experience, the Beavers are poised to challenge for the coveted conference title.

The prestigious Pac-12 Championship will be held at the picturesque Palouse Ridge Golf Club, a par-72 course stretching 6,324 yards. The challenging layout, combined with the pressure of a conference championship, will undoubtedly test the mettle of the participating teams.

The Beavers’ lineup features a formidable group of players, led by Chayse Gomez and Raya Nakao, who boast impressive season stroke averages of 72.23 and 72.26, respectively. Kyra Ly, with a season average of 72.81, adds further depth to the team’s scoring potential.

Joining the trio are Madde Sund and Rebecca Kim, both capable of contributing valuable rounds to the team’s overall score. Additionally, Kelly Hope will make the trip as a potential substitute, providing the Beavers with added flexibility and depth.

The tournament format consists of a three-day, 54-hole competition, with 18 holes played each day. The top four individual scores from each team’s five-member lineup will constitute the scoring members for that particular round, adding an extra layer of strategy and pressure.

Oregon State will face stiff competition from a talented field that includes perennial powerhouses like Stanford, UCLA, and USC, as well as fellow Pac-12 rivals Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and host Washington State.

Despite the challenging opposition, the Beavers are no strangers to high-stakes competition. Their experience and determination could prove invaluable as they vie for the coveted Pac-12 Championship title.
