Explorers Reveal Exciting 2024 Women's Golf Spring Slate

La Salle University’s women’s golf team is gearing up for an action-packed spring season, as interim head coach Sam Quigley unveiled an exciting four-event schedule that will test the Explorers’ mettle across multiple states. The slate culminates with the much-anticipated MAAC Championships in sunny Florida, where the team will aim to cap off the campaign on a high note.

The spring journey commences on March 18th with a local clash against the Jefferson Rams at the picturesque Jeffersonville Golf Club. This one-day, 18-hole event will provide the Explorers with an ideal opportunity to shake off any rust accumulated during the offseason and set the tone for the challenges that lie ahead.

Just over a week later, the team will embark on their first road trip, traveling to Grasonville, Maryland, to participate in the JEL Prospect Bay Collegiate. This two-day affair, scheduled for March 29th and 30th, will see the Explorers navigate the demanding Prospect Bay Golf Club layout, with 36 holes on tap for the opening day and a final 18-hole round on Saturday.

Continuing their eastward trek, the Explorers will then make their way to Ohio for the Youngstown State University Spring Invitational. This event, slated for April 7th and 8th, promises to be a stern test of the team’s endurance and course management skills as they battle through 54 grueling holes over the two-day period.

The regular season will draw to a close with a visit to the hallowed grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Maryland, for the Navy Spring Invitational. On April 13th, the Explorers will tackle 36 holes, followed by a final 18-hole round the next day, providing them with one last opportunity to fine-tune their games before the ultimate showdown.

All roads lead to the Sunshine State for the highly anticipated MAAC Championships, which will unfold from April 19th to 21st at the pristine Disney Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Explorers will kick off the event with a demanding 36-hole opening day, followed by 18 holes each on the subsequent two days, as they vie for conference supremacy and a chance to etch their names in the annals of La Salle University golf history.

With a well-rounded schedule that blends local matchups, challenging road trips, and a season-defining championship event, the 2024 spring slate promises to be a true test of the Explorers’ mental fortitude, physical conditioning, and unwavering determination. As the team prepares to embark on this exhilarating journey, fans and supporters alike eagerly await the exploits of these talented student-athletes, who will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the fairways and greens they encounter.
