Kvaratskhelia's Agent Drops Bombshell on Napoli Future
The future of Napoli’s breakout star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been plunged into doubt after his agent’s bombshell comments about the Georgian winger’s potential exit.
Speaking to the media, Kvaratskhelia’s representative did little to quell the mounting transfer speculation, bluntly stating: “He will leave” if an attractive offer arrives for his client’s services.
The 22-year-old has taken Serie A by storm this season after joining from Georgian side Dinamo Batumi last summer. His pace, trickery and eye for goal have made him an integral part of Luciano Spalletti’s table-topping side.
With 12 goals and 10 assists already in his debut campaign, it’s no surprise Europe’s biggest clubs are circling for Kvaratskhelia’s signature. The likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all been credited with an interest.
His agent’s latest comments will only stoke further transfer flames around the rising star. When asked directly about Kvaratskhelia’s future in Naples, he made Napoli’s worst fears a reality.
“If an important, suitable offer arrives, he will leave,” the agent stated bluntly. “We cannot hide from the truth. He is putting in extraordinary performances and it’s normal that many teams will try to sign him.”
The frank admission represents a hammer blow for Napoli, who had hopes of building their team around Kvaratskhelia for years to come after his sensational start in Italy.
However, the Georgian international’s current deal runs only until 2027, with no reported release clause. That could open the door for cash-rich sides to test Napoli’s resolve with a massive bid.
Whether Kvaratskhelia does depart this summer remains to be seen. But his agent has certainly struck an ominous tone and put Europe’s elite clubs on red alert regarding his client’s availability.
For a player being touted as the next world superstar, Napoli may ultimately find Kvaratskhelia’s ambitions outgrow the Italian giants sooner rather than later based on these latest comments.
