WASHINGTON D.C. - No. 11 Duke’s run in the ACC Tournament came to a disappointing end Thursday night, as the Blue Devils fell 74-69 to NC State in the quarterfinals at Capital One Arena.
Despite a monster performance from sophomore big man Kyle Filipowski, who poured in 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, Duke couldn’t overcome the hot-shooting Wolfpack. NC State knocked down several timely threes and capitalized on second-chance opportunities to hold off Mike Krzyzewski’s former team.

This second-round matchup was a testament to the sheer grit and determination of both teams, as they battled fiercely on the court.
Leading the charge for the Demon Deacons was the dynamic duo of Kevin Miller and Hunter Sallis, who poured in 17 and 14 points, respectively.
The 2023 ACC Tournament in Washington D.C. was supposed to be a fresh start for the Louisville Cardinals, but it ended in familiar heartbreak. Despite leading by as many as 12 points early on, the Cardinals couldn’t hold off a late surge by the NC State Wolfpack, falling 94-85 in a game that was tied at 75 with just 4:30 remaining.
