ATLANTA, GA - The hopes of an undefeated ACC start for No. 13 NC State took a major hit on Friday as the Wolfpack baseball team fell 8-5 to Georgia Tech at Russ Chandler Stadium.
The Pack9 seemed to be cruising early, riding a stellar start from Sam Highfill on the mound. The junior right-hander pounded the strike zone over the first 4.2 innings, allowing just one run on two hits while keeping the high-powered Yellow Jackets offense largely in check.
The race to secure the services of prized 2024 point guard Daquan Davis is nearing its conclusion. The highly-touted Baltimore native, who decommitted from Providence last October, has whittled his options down to two prominent programs: Georgia Tech and Florida State. Davis, a 6-foot-1 floor general renowned for his scoring prowess and court vision, is slated to make his highly-anticipated college announcement on Sunday, March 24th.
Davis’s recruitment has been a rollercoaster ride, with the Overtime Elite (GA) standout initially pledging his allegiance to the Friars before reopening his process in the latter stages of 2022.
