Former Pak Pacer Aaqib Javed Joins Sri Lanka as Bowling Coach

In a move aimed at strengthening their bowling attack ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has roped in former Pakistan pacer Aaqib Javed as the national team’s fast bowling coach. The 50-year-old, who is currently serving as the director of cricket operations and head coach of the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Premier League, will work with the Sri Lankan side until the conclusion of the marquee ICC event scheduled to be held in the West Indies and USA.
